A reference to Constantin Brancusi's Endless Column, Endless Puzzle is the reconfiguration of boulders as puzzle pieces.
"This comes back a little bit towards that whole thing of boulders being pedestrian. Here is a new spin or a new, playful way to call attention to them," said Curtis.
It is interesting that the piece takes on the life of boulders in the natural environment. Moss has started growing on them.
An example of the harmony of Curtis's sculpture: objects that blend naturally into the environment and yet retain the mark of man's intervention on the natural world.
