When I designed this sculpture, I intended it to resemble a modern cliff dwelling, with skyscraper windows cut in a stone spire. The idea of compressing time between ancient and modern. But when I saw the finished piece it reminded me of a digital code.

The title, Windows 2018, is a play to include both concepts. The contrast of the pico-second timescale of the digital age with hundred-million-year-old stone is something I strive to explore.
